This course concentrates on all levels of grooming, with an emphasis on the finished appearance of the pet. The entire Bather / Brusher Program course is included as a part of the Professional Grooming Program. In addition, scissors techniques in layer cutting, thinning, and line cutting are included in the skills taught and practiced. The students will also master an understanding of breed standards, as well as the ability to provide fine creative grooming for mixed breeds.

Students will complete an extensive study of dog and cat breeds, and conduct in-depth research of temperament, structure and movement. Practical experience in dog obedience is also included.
